Working With God Insures a Worthy Goal

We humans go through seasons and cycles of change just like the Earth does. When we start a new project or job it is like the beginning of a Spring Season. There is a struggle during the Spring Season as we wait for our new project to take root, but we are still excited while we labor toward our vision of success. When the Summer Season comes; there seems to be life in whatever we are doing. Emotionally we are happy as we look around and see the evidence of growth. When the Fall Season arrives we hope for or expect a great harvest.

The First Year

That first year is tough if the harvest is not as plentiful and fulfilling as we had expected and hoped for. If our expectations are not met we can get a little depressed. How we handle the disappointments in life prepares us for the next year. Are we challenged to do better by learning from our experience or do we want to give up and find something easier to do? The questions we ask ourselves will help us prepare better for the next year. Who will benefit from my success? Am I trying to do this all by myself? Am I including God in every aspect and season of my life? What can I do better? Did I do okay and I only need to be patient with myself? Are my expectations reasonable?

Resting and Reflecting

The Winter Season of our lives is supposed to be a time of rest, reflection, and resource planning. If we go into the Winter Season depressed it can take hold and dampen our passion for the coming new year. Each Spring Season is an opportunity to learn from last year and if needed make changes that could increase our harvest during the Fall Season. If we use the Winter Season to rest in God, reflect on our efforts, and plan our resources with Him; we can expect a personal benefit from working with someone who loves us unconditionally.

Proverbs 16:3 Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Seeking Guidance

Lord God Almighty, sanctify me in You and help me live an abundant life in Christ Jesus. You are patient and You never give up on me. Give me steadfast patience to yearn for the warmth in God’s arms. Please help me learn how to work with You in every aspect of my life. Please help me persevere during the Winter Seasons of my life and let go of past disappointments. Help me set worthy and reasonable goals for my projects and my life. Help me learn from my mistakes and other people’s mistakes and flourish in whatever goal I am working towards. Please help me be successful, flourish, and reap a bountiful harvest from my efforts. Lord Jesus, glorify our Father and please Him through our efforts and success according to Your purpose and plan for my life. Amen.
