The Father of Humility Never Leaves Us

The opposite of being humble is to be arrogant. Humility comes from knowing God and the truth about God. Seeking God and knowing Him better brings humility because God himself is humble. Phillippians 2:6-8 reminds us that the Messiah humbled himself for us. Humbling ourselves for God benefits us according to the Scriptures. Proverbs 16:19 “Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. “

The Power of Prayer and Fellowship with God

We are strengthened when we put on our Armour of God, Eph 6:10-18 twice a day through faith, prayer, and Scripture. Once at the beginning of the day and at the end of the day before bedtime. It’s even more important than brushing your teeth twice a day! There are six pieces to the Armour of God: the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, shoes that are the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword that is the Word of God. It is written that no weapon formed against God’s people will prosper in Isaiah 54:17.

Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”

The Messiah Must Lead

The Messiah of God is the light of righteousness in the world. If we walk step-in-step with our Savior, His light will shine through us. We can only walk in step with God if we follow His leading. We need a humble and teachable Spirit to walk with the Lord. Otherwise, our human flesh will cause us to lag behind God or run ahead of Him.

Proverbs 4:18 “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”

Prayer to Reflect God

Lord God Almighty, sanctify me in Your righteousness and humility through Your holiness. Lord, You are humble. Help me walk in step with You so that Your humility will reflect through me and bless those You bring into my life. Give me a humble and teachable Spirit as I learn to walk with You as You lead me. Please bless those I love with an abundant life in YOU. You know them completely and have even counted the number of hairs on their heads. You have always known and loved them better than I do. Holy Father, be glorified as You bless those I love through Your Messiah, Yeshua, Christ Jesus. In Your holy name, I pray Lord Jesus. Amen.
