I suspect some people want to warn others about the pending apocalypse to fend it off a little while longer or to avoid needless suffering. I believe it will come according to prophecy whenever or however it is meant to be. Yet, we do not need to be afraid because Christ Jesus is with us. We will always have all kinds of trouble in the world, and we are called to help those who are genuinely suffering. To do this properly, we need to walk with our Heavenly Father the way Christ Jesus did.
Feed The Sheep
We do not need to fear the future because God will not forsake His people. I heard a sermon this year, and I felt the Lord was telling me that this is the way to prepare for the Apocalypse or any kind of world problem. The Sermon was based on three Scriptures from the New Testament: 1 Cor 5:6-8, Luke 13:20-21, and Matthew 5:14. I believe there is Spiritual Hunger and Starvation in the World. Are we all not called to help Feed the Sheep of the Messiah in the Spirit of Love and Peace?
Even A Little Sin Hurts Our Testimony
1 Cor 5:6-8 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? 7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Christ Jesus Helps Us Rise Victoriously
Luke 13:20-21 And again he said, Whereunto shall I liken the kingdom of God? 21 It is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.
Shine and Don’t Hide
Matthew 5:14-16 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Bitter and Angry People
There is injustice in this world. The world is filled with many bitter and angry people. It is hard to not let it affect and defeat us. If we become filled with bitterness and hate, then we become part of the problem. Bitterness and hate are like a deadly virus. Bitterness and hate do not come from God. When you open your mouth and spew out your bitterness and anger, it is spread to whoever receives it or responds with their anger. Some people are not willing to let go of their bitterness and seek healing. The Scriptures (Proverbs 22:24-25) remind us to fight against angry people by not spending time with them.
Seek Healing
We are told in Ephesians 4:30-32 “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: 32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
Emotional Abuse
People try to use our emotions to get our support for their cause. They try to enlist us through words that potentially play on feelings such as guilt, fear, false sense of responsibility, power, etc… Some people instinctively try to manipulate us through our emotions. What is the truth? What are the facts? What does God say throughout the Scriptures? How do you fight against people trying to play on your emotions? Pray about it! Seek the truth through God, seek guidance, emotional healing, and the courage to set boundaries with the person if they will continue to be in your life. Agree to disagree. Forgive yourself and the other person as you move forward. Pray and ask to see things from God’s perspective.
Bathe in Prayer
Lord God Almighty, sanctify me in You and Your righteousness. Help me walk with You in Your Spirit of love and forgiveness. Please help me be a peacemaker and set realistic boundaries with those who see things differently. I want to honor the Free Will You have given everyone. You know the hearts and minds of everyone. You even know me better than I know my own self. You have a plan and purpose for all people. Lord, I do not want to get in Your way. Help me see myself and others from Your perspective. Bless my brothers and sisters in Christ with wisdom and understanding that leads them according to Your purpose for them. Have mercy upon us all and scatter Your enemy that wars against Your children. Christ Jesus, glorify our Heavenly Father as You answer this prayer according to Your promises. Amen.
