I was joking around with my son-in-law Chris about possibly being a genius because he had gotten my wireless printer function working on my new lab top. Later I was joking with my daughter Amanda that she might also be a genius, because she had given me a soft fuzzy warm pull over with pockets for my cold hands. I went to my room to pray and instead of calling Jesus by His name, I called Him Genius.
The True Genius That Understands Everything
I laughed out loud as I felt in my Spirit that Jesus was saying that He must be a Major Genius because He had made Amanda and Chris. I was curious and looked up the definition. The definition from the Oxford Languages is “1. exceptional intellectual or creative power or other natural ability. 2. a person who is exceptionally intelligent or creative, either generally or in some particular respect. 3. a person regarded as exerting a powerful influence over another for good or evil.
When Jesus Shows Up
When we invite Jesus to be a part of every aspect of our day, He does show up. Today, I enjoyed being with Jesus because of His great sense of humor. In the process, I also learned that He really is a Major Genius. Jesus is God and also Family. He loves to spend time with us in every aspect of our lives, even when we are joking around with other family members.
Prayer of a Grateful Heart
Lord God Almighty, sanctify us in You and allow us to embrace the warmth of Your love. I am so grateful that not only are You our God, but that we are also family. I feel content and grateful knowing You are much more than a God. It would be enough if You were only our God and Savior, but to make us a part of Your Family is beyond human words. Praise You, Lord God Almighty, for Your mercy and grace that You would make us Your children. Father, You even made us joint heirs with Your Son. Be glorified for Your generosity and extraordinary blessings. Jesus, surprise us with more of You in every aspect of our lives. Amen.
