I love the Bible verse, Jeremiah 17:14 “Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for thou art my praise.”. I like its simplicity and how it reminds me that there is a tremendous amount of power in just a few of God’s Words.
The Captive
I dreamed of a light illuminating the eyes of Jesus from a beautiful painting. I could see only the eyes of Jesus. I thought how beautiful His real eyes are as they loving watch over His people. He has plans and a purpose for all of His children. Then I saw a prison cell with a dirty man that was blind with shackles on his ankles. If there was anyone that needed Jesus, it had to be this man. The man was dirty, blind and was shackled. Then the jailer came and said, “Come on Cowboy, let’s go.” The poor blind man was going to be led away to some type of unknown fate. This poor man needed my prayer.
The Savior
Holy Father of Love, bless all of the Cowboys that are in need of Your help. Jesus, sanctify those that are shackled, blind and dirty. Sanctify them in Your Holiness. Set the captives free of their shackles and prison cell. Heal their blind eyes to see the whole truth. Jesus clothe them in Your Righteousness for Your name’s sake. Jesus set the captives free to walk in Your Holiness and purpose. You are our Savior that sets the captives free. Please heal all of their wounds. Jesus, You are the Lord that Jeremiah spoke about. The Lord that heals and delivers. You are worthy to be praised! Praise You our Lord God Almighty! Thank You for Your saving mercy and grace. Thank You for Your Grace that allows me to pray for those in need of Your help. Amen.
