Called by God to Teach

Relationship Labs

What can we expect when we are teaching a classroom for God? I believe there are a few guidelines that apply to everyone. God’s Classrooms are more than just educational, they are also like a Relationship Lab. Everyone, both Teacher and Students need to apply the teachings of Jesus in Matthew 7:3-5 where we are told to get the log of wood out of our own eye first, before helping our neighbor get the speck of saw dust out of their own eye. Remember, we all fall short of God’s glory. I personally have never been fond of these Matt 7 verses because, Jesus has used them more than once to discipline my bad attitude. I am glad Jesus disciplined me because, I had to let go of a self-righteous and a harmful attitude. Sometimes, God needs to remind us that we are all human and we all are loved by God. A Classroom for God is more than a learning opportunity. It is a place where modeling Christ will please God.

A Teacher’s Need and Responsibility

Teachers that are wounded or need advice need to first go to other Teachers or their Assistant Teacher for help outside of the classroom. If they still need additional help, they should seek a Counselor or Rabbi or Pastor for advice and healing. Churches, Synagogues or Ministries should have a protocol in place for teacher guidance. Teachers need to remember that even mature students are still students in their classroom. Teachers can use their wounds to teach in their classroom, however not for the purpose of being healed. Teachers please do not look upon your classroom as a place for your healing, it is a place for the student. You will be blessed and healed sometimes, but do not seek your own healing in your classroom from your students. That’s not their job. The student’s job is to learn and mature. The Teachers job is to teach and model the Messiah as the Teacher.

Teachers need to learn to be observant. Teachers need to learn from their mistakes and student’s mistakes. Teachers need to double check their mistakes are not being repeated. When a teacher is cleaning up a classroom problem, they can expect God’s help with the impossible. You will be surprised what God can flush down His Spiritual Disposal System when it’s time to take out the trash. God has the ability to compact all of your trash. He can even remove your trash quickly and without warning. God is not limited by the world’s physical limitations. God can dispose of your classroom trash without making a big mess.

Good or bad, cause and effect apply. The good news, there are consequences, and God uses them all for His purpose. Teachers do get a double blessing when Teaching for God and through God. Teachers need to pray in Love, Faith, Truth and in the Holy Spirit before teaching. The classroom battles belong to the LORD. You are teaching for God and these students are His students. Keep in mind that when students are learning, growing and healing that things can get messy. Sometimes you will need to take out the trash and give it to God.

A Student’s Need and Responsibility

Student’s that are wounded, especially by another student or teacher should first go to their Teacher or their Assistant Teacher. If they still need additional help, they should seek a Counselor or Rabbi or Pastor for advice and healing. Students should show respect for the Teacher’s position of authority. Students should treat their fellow students with the respect and kindness they also desire. Students should follow class guidelines. Students should seek to learn and grow. The student is responsible for learning and showing respect as they model the Messiah as the Learner.

The Student’s Prayer

Holy Father of Love, sanctify me in Your Holiness through Your Son the Messiah of God. Your Son first learned and grew in Spirit as a child. His ministry did not begin until He had learned many things. You have brought me to this place to learn something. Father create in me a humble and teachable Spirit so I will learn everything You desire for me to learn. Help me learn and grow in maturity for Your Purpose and Glory. Jesus the Christ, the Son of God, You are the Messiah. My LORD, bless my prayer and learning in Your Holy Name and be Glorified as You also Glorify our Heavenly Father. Amen.
