I was spending some quiet time with Jesus early in the morning. Suddenly, I imagined I was dancing with Jesus. However, it was like a scene from the cartoon, Beauty and the Beast. I could feel the thick fur on His arms as we danced. At first I thought that I must be dancing with the Lion of Judah. I felt His furry arm a second time and I thought it felt like a costume. I thought perhaps Jesus was going to teach me something about who He is, as the Lion of Judah. I could not accept the idea I was dancing with a cartoon character.
The sudden flash of the cartoon again told me my assumption was wrong and I let go of trying to control the narrative. I let go and let God take the lead. Then a beautiful single red rose was bathed in the brightest and yet delicate white light. It was not encased under a glass dome like in the cartoon. It was so beautiful. I never really liked red roses, but this one was special. It was so beautiful!
Many See Jesus as The Beast
I remembered times that immature Christians had hurt me and I feared God the Father. I saw God the Father as a monster and recoiled from Him. I understood why so many see Jesus as the Beast instead of the King of Love that He truly is. Their wounded hearts and feelings keep them from seeing Jesus as He really is. They have been wounded by immature Christians and false profits, doing and saying things in the name of Jesus. They cannot accept Jesus. Even the mention of His name makes many people recoil. Sadly, many see the Cross as a symbol of monstruous hate. He is blamed for their pain and humiliation.
The Rose
I wondered, “What could Jesus possibly do to undo the damage that was done in His name?”. I remembered the red rose and had hope. Jesus has the power of eternal love that can transcend appearances. Jesus can create unbreakable bonds of love with anyone willing to receive His love. Jesus can defy and overcome evil. Jesus can cast out fear with His perfect Love. Jesus can heal deep wounds with His perfect Love. Jesus can transform bitterness and hate in a wounded heart into a beautiful love. Jesus is the King of Kings, the King of Love. Jesus, You would not have shown me this, unless You plan to do something. So I will pray with these people’s unspoken prayers knowing You will do something wonderful.
Asking For His Healing Love
Jesus, please sanctify us in Your Perfect Love. Allow Your Glory to come down and heal the wounded people that see You as the Beast. Their feelings, their wounds keep them from seeing You as You really are. You are Love. Open their eyes, hearts and minds and heal them. Father of Love, give them truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth in Love for Your name’s sake. Bind their fear and take it far away. Help them receive Your blessings and gifts. Open their eyes to see You and experience Your Glory. Nothing is impossible for God! Help them walk beside You in Truth and Spirit. Help them dance with Jesus as the King of Glory and follow His leading. Help us all be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and the words of love You give us for others. Give us all strong roots of faith and help us pray according to Your purpose and will. Father God be glorified as Jesus answers our prayers. Amen.
