Bring your Bible during this prayer, as it is best to read the Scripture meditatively, using all of your senses while trying to imagine what was really happening. Pray and ask Jesus to help you understand what you are reading. While reading the Scripture, discuss how you feel, what you think, and what you want to understand. Jesus can help you understand the Scriptures; you only need to ask.
Begin your prayer by focusing on God…
Lord God Almighty, Sanctify me as a child of God in the name of Christ Jesus. Strengthen me through Your Holy Spirit so I can walk with Jesus the Messiah of God through the Holy Scriptures. Help me understand the events in Jesus’ life by seeing His life events from His Perspective. Jesus, bring to my mind what event You would like to share with me. Help me feel Your presence as I read and meditate on Your Life through Your Scriptures.
Jesus, thank You for sharing Your life with me. Thank You for allowing me the privilege and honor to walk with You. Amen
