An honest prayer is an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of how the Lord wants to bless you. He can help you learn from your struggles. If you have trouble being quiet during the listening part of this prayer, focus on a picture of Jesus or what it feels like to be in his presence. Wait for God to move in your prayer as you discuss what you are thinking and feeling, and what you want to understand. Take your time as you pray and discuss any issues you have with the Lord.

Holy Father of love, mercy, and grace. Jesus, my Lord and my Savior, please sanctify me in You through Your Holy Spirit. Cover me like a warm blanket and envelop me like a butterfly’s chrysalis with the power of Your Holy Spirit so I can relax within You. Your perfect love comforts me and casts out all fear because You dwell within me. I hunger for an abundant life in You. I choose to live in Christ as Christ lives in me. Thank You, Jesus, for putting these desires to know You better and love You more in my heart. I know You love me and have my best interests at heart. I know You desire to cultivate peace and love in my heart. I want what You want to give me. I am grateful! Please help me understand what that truly means. Let all of this be to the glory and honor of our Father, the God of hope, mercy, and grace. I come to You now quietly to listen and learn from You. Amen.
